Christmasing in Portland, Oregon

For family Christmas trip this year it was time with the Neyenhuis' family! We hoped to escape the frigid temperatures (0 degrees and below!) and snow here in Boulder, but to no avail. Portland was hit with the biggest snowstorm in 40 years. We measured the accumulation on the back deck to be 13 inches. Pretty remarkable for a place that doesn't get a lot of snow! And I must say it made us very grateful that Colorado has plenty of snowplows!!! (Portland has a very very few which made things really difficult to get around.)
But the 2nd day we were there we went to the Children's Museum and had a ball!! See below:

Cam playing in the "dirt"(I think they were really recycled rubber pieces)
Loving the slide action
The Water Works room. This kid coulda stayed there ALL DAY. ...Really.

More to come on the trip later. We must be to bed as we were up at 3:45 this morning to catch our plane!!

I LOVE Children Museums. Sounds like you guys had a blast, and glad you made it ok. Let me know if you need me to watch Cam so you can catch up on sleep.
