Birthday Visit & Valentine's Day

My parents came to visit the weekend before my birthday, and it was great to see them! Just 2 days before we got about 2 FEET of snow. Someone's always making a cool snow sculpture around here. We've seen a HUGE snow elephant, a snow castle (both like 7 feet tall!), and outside our back door, several snow forts. This one was the coolest, though:
is Cameron sticking his whole head into the snow? Um, yes...

 "Gampa!"

...the only thing this girl likes about the snow is that she can eat it.

Valentine's Day
I woke up to this lovely surprise. Thank you Brian, Cameron, Liesel, and Ivy :-)

and I took pictures of the three just because:

Have you ever seen the video of Susan Boyle's audition on Britain's Got Talent? It's amazing. I love to watch it. It always gives me goosebumps. YouTube won't let me embed it here, so click on the link. It's worth the 5 minutes to watch it, I promise.

Los Babies

I think the children look really similar as babies. Here they all are at about 3 months old:

Cameron

Liesel

"babe Ivy"
everyone is bright-eyed, bald, and chubby :-)

I like to laugh and share with my friends and family, so here you go:

Oh, I can't forget to share this with the Grandparents and sibs out there:
One of Cameron's favorite things to do is to startle Ivy...much to my chagrin. He thinks it's HILARIOUS. You probably already knew that when babies startle they pop their arms out spread eagle. So this morning as Cameron is walking downstairs, he says to Brian, "You know why I like Ivy? Because of her scaredy arms."

So funny.

This really made me laugh. And... it's my life everyday.

New Year's Eve

A post on New Year's? Behind are we, Marisa?
Yep.
Moving on...

Cam and Brian had a good round of WWF before dinner New Year's Eve. I think Brian's face is hilarious here.

Growing up, we often had Filipino "lumpia" (egg rolls) on New Year's Eve. This year we adapted it and made vegetarian spring rolls!

This is kinda unrelated, but for my Family Housing program, I've been doing a Craft Night. In December I made these cinnamon dough birds that turned out rather well, I think.
