Brian. He's a good husband, and always asks how he can help me and he's always making me laugh. It also happens to be his birthday today.Thanks for the tag, Heidi! This is a good idea. For 8 days in a row, I'm supposed to blog about something that makes me happy. Here's my first:
the scriptures
As I try to search for verses that apply to my life, I always find them and they help me feel peace and joy. Here is a verse that I was reminded of today and thought about its parallels to motherhood:
"And it came to pass that they did worship the Lord, and did go forth with me; and we did work timbers of curious workmanship. And the Lord did show me from time to time after what manner I should work the timbers of the ship.
Now I, Nephi, did not work the timbers after the manner which was learned by men, neither did I build the ship after the manner of men; but I did build it after the manner which the Lord had shown unto me; wherefore it was not after the manner of men."
1 Nephi 18: 1-2
When Brian and I were dating, he made me a CD and this is one of the songs that was on it. It always reminds me of him and those dates. It's an entertaining listen. :)
On April 24th, Family Housing took us to the Denver Aquarium. We loved watching the otters and looking at some huge-o fish! (See below.)

These are my good friends and close neighbors. From right to left: Beate, Anna, and I. Both of them are moving to Europe in the next month/2 months! I can't tell how sad it makes me
Last Sunday we went on a walk on the South Boulder Creek Trail. It's probably my favorite little trail here in Boulder.
And there were free-roaming cows at the end of our walk. Cameron really liked watching them :)
We watched this from the lds.org website and it caused some real introspection. And our habits will change.
