Beck Family Reunion

The first couple of days we were in Utah, we stayed at a lovely house in Manti to see the Mormon Miracle Pageant. The house had a great back yard:

Then we spent 1/2 a day at This Is the Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake. It's like a Mormon Pioneer park with old houses, pioneer games, and historical information and tributes to the Mormon pioneers who came to Salt Lake. Here's Cameron and Grandma Marsha washing clothes at one of the log cabins:

And Liesel got to ride a horse!

They also had a really neat little kid's village with mini houses and a wooden train. Here's Liesel sitting on one of the little porch rocking chairs:

Another day we hiked up to Timp caves! Here's our group about to enter in: (Mom is missing because she was kindly taking care of baby Callan and Hyrum who was sick as a dog that day!)

Another day we had a "service project" morning and cleaned Grandma Beck's house. See us hard at work:

We went to Lagoon one day and had loads of fun. Here's Cameron and Hyrum on the first ride of the day. Bulgy the Whale ride!

Then we took a little train ride. Liesel and Janna were bench buddies:

On Saturday, July 3rd, Kara and I ran a 5K up in Salt Lake! It was my first race. I think I did well, especially considering I only ran twice that week leading up to race day!

Playing in Grandpa Gary's stream is the delight of these two boys:

Cameron's first experience with sparklers. We were kinda laughing at him because he's shielding his face here from the "fire." I'm glad he's cautious, at least. :)
